Let’s talk tiles tonight! Tiles are excellent in bathrooms — but man, they can be expensive. If you still have your heart set on tiling your bathroom’s floor, walls, or what have you, so be it. But if you have to do it on a budget, think about seeking a deal on broken tiles and making a mosaic of some sort.

Otherwise, you should seriously consider vinyl. I know, I know — the very word generally calls up images of the awful avocado colored vinyl popular in the seventies or horrid, skin tight Britney Spears’ outfits. However, especially when it isn’t used to make super shiny clothing, vinyl has come a long way.

You can get it in a variety of colors and patters of course — and you can also get it in a variety of styles. Meaning, you can get vinyl that looks a whole lot like tile for a whole lot less money, if it is your economical wont.

Of course, tile isn’t the only thing with which to decorate your bathroom — especially if you’re interested in a simple, easy redecoration project. In that case, if paint and/or wallpaper require a bit too much work, think about simple wainscoting. For the floor? Throw rugs do wonders, and you can never have too many if they add to the decor.
